Organization of Youth Empowerment and Solidarity (O-YES) is a young NGO that was started in the year 2005 by a team of young persons who shared the same vision on matters affecting the youth.

The founders were perturbed by the huge numbers of fellow young people, who idled and hanged around estates within communities.   They set out to craft an initiative that would help youths change their thinking (attitude) and engage in productive activities and at the same time contribute to alleviating the phenomenon of increasing young idlers in the community.
